Pros
-Amazing coworkers with years of knowledge.
Cons
-Terrible decisions are made at the director and vp level by people that have no idea what the jobs of the people beneath them entail. - Micromanagement at the director level. - Non-degree operations positions (cnc programmer, machinist) have higher earning potential and less responsibility than an Operations Engineer. -CI Specialist level 2 salary is equivalent to an Ops Engineer level 3 salary and doesn't require an engineering degree. -It's nearly impossible to move out of operations engineering at Woodward without moving out. -Poor hiring practices and ineffective leadership on the shop floor creates unnecessary work for Operations Engineers. -Takes months for the company to post backfill positions leaving the Operations support teams overworked, understaffed, and looking for the door. -In spite of keeping the floor running, Ops Engineering is treated as the redheaded stepchild of engineering at Woodward.
