Pros
Stipend isn't much but helps you get through the program without debt. Expectation is a 40 hr workweek with little time off, but ultimately as long as you are doing research and putting in work you can get away with less time in lab and more time doing other things you enjoy. Experience varies PI to PI.
Cons
Pretty unprofessional communication between the administration and graduate students. Don't expect any help navigating WPI's convoluted onboarding process.
