After 7 years with the firm we received a letter which did not say much at all. Covid was mentioned but this was just before the lock down. Sure, covid had just got on the front page, but the reasoning was sketchy. A recent merger and re-organization suggested that the firm had been sold on, and that all of the IT had been outsourced to India. We got no contact from any managers. Severance was almost non-existent, now nothing to apply for because of the lock down. I am a single parent and with no notice, and no job to go to, I am financially ruined. This was a callous multiple firing dressed up as a covid triggered event. Or was it - they will not say.
