Pros

It's probably a good place to work if you are located at headquarters. If you work in one of their warehouses, expect the bare minimum.

Cons

This company is incredibly stingy, they will make new "company rules" out of thin air. They made a policy that anytime you are forced to quarantine it is 14 days unpaid. Annoying policy considering the company prides itself so heavily on being a "Great Place to Work", but in efforts to save money I understand why they do it. Then they double down and make you use any Vacation time[PTO] that you have until it is depleted. I reached out to HR to see if I had an option not to use all the PTO I carried over from last year and was promised that this policy benefits me in the long run... Instead of doing operational shutdowns the WWT is now doing operational "pauses". This means that if someone tests positive that they will make you sit in a breakroom for an hour while a 3rd party cleaning company sprays chemicals all over your workspace. The first time this happened more than half of the people in my department had headaches, some people had to go home because it was so bad it was making them throw up. Worldwide technology is also stingy when it comes to hiring people on. To the extent that people in my building have been contractors through Areotek for upwards of 18 months. That is 18 months that you aren't getting PTO, Paid holidays, Health insurance for your kids, etc.

World Wide Technology Response

We appreciate the feedback. All employees may use company provided paid time off if they must quarantine due to close contact with the virus. This is not new. Employees who fall ill to the virus may receive paid COVID Sick Leave. The top priority is to keep everyone safe. Pausing operations to clean is an important safety measure in accomplishing this. WWT often utilizes third party staffing to help augment our workforce. Subcontractors may be hired but this depends on foreseeable and sustainable business activity along with their individual performance. Until a subcontractor is converted, they have the opportunity for benefits with their employers. WWT does not own any race tracks but does sponsor the naming of Gateway International Raceway. Thank you.

Pros

Remote work was nice. Pay and benefits were decent.

Cons

- Toxic, toxic, toxic - Zero work life balance - Lots of back stabbing going on. Too many management changes. Everyone has to claw for things in a negative way to get anywhere. - Bro culture and a company founder who prays and preaches at company meetings? That should NEVER happen. - No inclusivity. They say DEI is important but when the leaders are praying and seemingly right wing that doesn't reflect. - "Great Place to Work" is a total scam. They basically make you do it, talk about it constantly, remind you to take the surveys, even say how to rate. It's disingenuous. - Over-worked and ran PM's too thin, then when you get too burned out to do your job effectively you're not supported. I was running multiple projects during the day and had another project that required 12 am, 2am meetings as it was an Asian customer. I had no balance, no sleep, zero support. Instead of mitigating it, they wrote me up because I forgot something trivial (so trivial I don't even remember what it was). I was so stressed my hair literally fell out! I was so grateful to have another company headhunt me so that I could quit. TOXIC!
