Pros

I've recently seen some not so flattering reviews on this webpage about Wren as a company, I have worked for Wren now for nearly 2 and a half years, I have progressed from designer level to Assistant General Manager of the new Southend Showroom. I came to work for Wren because my previous employment was not so enjoyable - I was screamed at in my face, made to cry, and worked to the bone with no promotion in sight. Now... I come to work, I do my job and I go home and I am appreciated!! No-one rings me on my days off, of course there is pressure and stress, that comes with working in retail! the hours are long, but you get out what you put in! I am the best paid now than I ever have been, so well in fact that for the first time in 13 years I am taking a full 2 weeks off and enjoying it on a Cruise in June! My designers are the best paid in the industry, I have people who have been in the industry for 15 years commenting on how well we are looked after, the company buys in lunches for all the staff on big bank holiday days or special occasions. The regional manager will quite often turn up with KFC for the whole crew! The teams are incentivized often. Do we expect a lot from them... absolutely! Who doesn't expect a lot from their employees these days, the difference - we try to look after our guys the best we can, we play games, we have fun and we work hard. I work for the South and what a bunch we are, the divisional director Jason is the most self-driven man I have ever met, he never stops working, he works relentlessly - making life better for us, and as he says... we are creating a family, his family! My regional is the most passionate about this company I have ever seen, he loves the company and 'bleeds green' He has taught me some invaluable things and I wouldn't change him one little bit. My GM is one of the most renowned in the company... she is one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of working with, she understands, she is firm, she is very fair, and she works just as hard as the rest of us. Of course not everyone will have the same opinion about the company that I have, everyone is entitled to their own story, but for me... I have never stayed longer then 2 years at a job, as I normally feel unappreciated, worthless, and disrespected. Here I am made to feel a part of something... I feel like I have earned the right to stand in meetings with my title, and I am proud to finally be where I have wanted to be for so long. Has the company made some mistakes, absolutely, we learned from those and now stand as the UK's number 1 kitchen retail specialist!! How does it feel working for the UK's number 1 - Like I'm the number 1 - so we work like winners!

Cons

Not for the faint hearted, if your a strong willed, work hungry person... then Wren is right up your street.

Pros

I’ve been with Wren Kitchens for about a year now, and my experience has been nothing but positive. The company continues to grow and expand, which creates great opportunities to learn new things and develop professionally. The environment is very collaborative and supportive. There’s a great balance of autonomy in your role while still having the support of teammates and management when needed. My manager has been especially great at providing coaching, guidance, and encouragement that has helped me continue to grow in my role. The benefits are also very competitive, and I really appreciate that there are multiple options available so you can choose the plans that best suit your lifestyle and needs. The PTO offering is competitive as well, which makes it easier to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Overall, it’s been a rewarding experience working for a company that values development, teamwork, and continued growth.

Cons

None that I can think of!

Pros

Strong opportunity to learn and retain role-specific knowledge. Hands on experience with Salesforce (CRM). Encouraged to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently without over reliance on support. Coworkers are consistently helpful and collaborative within departments. Team culture is supportive and driven to help each other succeed. Customer service processes within the call center are generally well structured. Company provides the necessary tools and supplies to do the job.

Cons

Role requires constant attention to detail, which can be mentally taxing. In some cases, answers for client inquiries require escalation, delaying resolution. Cross department communication and processes outside of the call center can be unclear or inconsistent. Certain policies add extra steps that slow down issue resolution for customers. Pay is acceptable but could be more competitive for the level of responsibility. Fixed schedule (9:00–5:30) offers limited flexibility.
