Pros
The development team was awesome! I found working with them to be a pleasure! Additionally, there was another manager who partnered with me and went out of his way to train and help me. He was a diamond among the coal. Wynn provides some good perks.
Cons
When I was offered the position I was told there was no “wiggle room.” That should have been a red flag. I quickly discovered the manager had no interest in setting me up for success. Shockingly, they were working without a schedule nor were they interested in purchasing MS Project scheduling program. I inquired about using Basecamp and that was a no go too. Manager couldn’t even read a QA/Bug report. Manager put on a facade of being nice at first stating, “we’re a family” the repeated slogan; but soon that changed. The manager was duplicitous, didn’t respond to any of my emails which hampered my ability to perform my job. Manager also ignored my Skype messages and canceled all my meetings for one-on-ones. The team has poor communication and does not reply to emails. The last month the manager completely ignored me and refused to even speak to me. As a manager myself, I have never experienced such unprofessional conduct. Manager set up meetings excluding me from that line of communication. At the very last day the manager had a representative come from Employee Relations to tell me I failed to pass the probationary period. During that meeting the manager still did not talk to me. I was hardworking, professional, polite, and always cordial. My last job I excelled at and had glowing reviews. I left my previous company for Wynn which I regret. I recently had surgery on my leg but still walked to work everyday. I was never late nor did I miss any days. I found the manager to lack any knowledge in website development and intimidated the staff to suppress independent thought. The manager went as far as to excommunicate me from the team and treated me like a second class citizen.
