Every team has a vibe, and most people are unique, outspoken. Cons
- Pay is the lowest you'll find in Seattle. With the sheer amount of work to do, and the number of projects you might be on, you may be overworked well above your pay if you don't manage your time and responsibilities wisely. - Finding ways to cut corners and save money is the #1 priority in every team. If you can do more with less, and show that you're doing that, you're safe. - You will be overworked; it's a startup, and many employees work late into the nights and on weekends to meet impossible, last-minute deadlines. - Communication is poor. Launches and major pushes come weekly, sometimes daily, with no notice. Launch dates change and are highly influenced by other teams around the world. - It's so fast-paced that you might be going full speed ahead on one project, only to be told that it's changed or not happening at all the next day. Each new project is more important and urgent than the last. - The company has grown so fast that long term employees are being forgotten, alienated, to the point where upper management doesn't know who they are or what they do. - Along with that growth, new hires can be lost in the shuffle. - With so many teams working on so many projects, it's hard to know who's responsible for what. Even high ranking employees don't know who's responsible for what. - In the last two months, several people have been fired with no warning. People who have been actively working and present in the morning, might be gone in the afternoon. This has caused a lot of unrest, fear, and conflict.
