Pros
Most employees are good, honest people who are trying to survive an abusive and toxic work environment. Decent location within the industrial park. Easy to get a job there. Continually hiring.
Cons
- Strategic thinking is non existent. - Decades old management style and practices of ruling by fear, intimidation and firings. - Employee turnover is very high. Both voluntary and terminations. Seemed to be a daily occurrence. HR is continually hiring and firing people in a revolving door of employee retention. - Nepotism and favouritism is rampant. The friends and family run the organization and rule by fear. Say the wrong thing to the wrong person and you will lose your job. - Compensation do not provide a living wage. Most have two to three jobs to make ends meet. - Their benefits are the bare minimum. - Both hourly and salaried employees do not get sick pay. - Any time off needs prior approval and available vacation time or no pay. - Want a cup of coffee? It's disgusting and you have to pay $.25 for a Keurig pod and hot water. - Bathrooms are always broken and are filthy. Toilet paper is deliberately hidden - so check before you need it. - Safety practices are an afterthought. Regardless of the pandemic, basic practices are not known or disregarded as an inconvenience.
