Pros

I still have a job after the merger... but only until next year. I did get a pay increase this year. I still have the same early hours and I can work from home.

Cons

They are dismantling the Portland Campus department by department until there is no one left. Since the merger with XPO, there is bad morale, every week more people are let go, no one knows who is next. I happen to be lucky enough to be in a group where they told us this past fall we would be losing our jobs in 2017. Rumor has it, they are now taking away the guaranteed of 13 weeks severance pay. Not sure about that but it would not surprise me.XPO is cheap. They have no regard for any long term employees who used to be part of Menlo or Con-way. We are all throwaways to the new management. The benefits package is not good, they took away 2 holidays that we have had for over 20 years. They have made all of the changes so complicated you can barely understand what is going on. Do not work on the PDX Campus, you will just be laid off in 6 months or a year or two. This is a sinking ship for the Portland Office and everyone still working here knows it. I could go on and on... just be warned, if you think you are guaranteed a job here... think again new hires... not a long term safe place to work.

Pros

Great benefits and senior leadership has a goal to provide excellent service, competitive pay, and recognition for hard working team players, looking to put their best foot forward every day.

Cons

Can be stressful at times when working in logistics, but this is common in the industry and often more related to fluctuations in economic factors.

Pros

I have enjoyed my time with XPO and appreciate the opportunities the company has provided for both personal and professional growth. The team environment is supportive, and I've had the chance to build strong relationships with coworkers and customers over the years. One of the things I value most is that hard work and dedication are recognized. Every day brings new challenges, which keeps the job interesting and allows me to continue learning. Leadership encourages employees to find solutions and work together to provide excellent customer service. Like any large company, there are busy periods and opportunities for improvement, but overall, XPO offers a solid career path, competitive benefits, and the chance to make a real impact. If you're someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is willing to put in the effort, XPO can be a rewarding place to build a career.

Cons

The transportation industry is constantly changing, so employees need to be adaptable and able to handle shifting priorities. Workloads can be demanding at times, but the teamwork and customer relationships make it rewarding
