Pros

A tv on the wall in multiple locations

Cons

The Operations Analyst role on the Intermodal team has a higher turnover rate than a third grade basketball game. The manager does not believe in work/life balance. Just strictly work. Be prepared to put in 10+ work hours without a lunch break. Unless you want to eat at your desk while working everyday. The training consists of the new hire having to ask 3 other employees on what to do every single day. No training documents, your peers will give you all different advice and so will the manager. Each person will say not to do it that way, but there way. No analysis training. I had the Senior Analyst do the analysis but our manager and other terminal managers said it was incorrect. All advice I followed from teammates that came back incorrect was blamed on myself for not knowing what I was doing. The company surveys are not a way to provide your feedback because if you do and it’s not all in favor of the team/company, they will look to replace/fire you. The manager will spend his day stuffing his face with food, rather than training employees. Work is 100% in-office while other departments might not be. Salary is low and they do not give everyone bonuses or salary increases. My experience is HR is liars, manager is a liar and tries manipulating people to do/say things, the team misguides you.

Pros

I have enjoyed my time with XPO and appreciate the opportunities the company has provided for both personal and professional growth. The team environment is supportive, and I've had the chance to build strong relationships with coworkers and customers over the years. One of the things I value most is that hard work and dedication are recognized. Every day brings new challenges, which keeps the job interesting and allows me to continue learning. Leadership encourages employees to find solutions and work together to provide excellent customer service. Like any large company, there are busy periods and opportunities for improvement, but overall, XPO offers a solid career path, competitive benefits, and the chance to make a real impact. If you're someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is willing to put in the effort, XPO can be a rewarding place to build a career.

Cons

The transportation industry is constantly changing, so employees need to be adaptable and able to handle shifting priorities. Workloads can be demanding at times, but the teamwork and customer relationships make it rewarding
