Pros
Good benefits and perks and decent compensation depending on your role and negotiating skills. If one is comfortable shaping their own role, they can have an amazingly wide exposure to different industries and business models early in their career and grow their skill sets remarkably fast. The competence of upper management instills confidence in the direction of the company and there is far less BS thrown around in the boardroom than most fast growing companies. While almost everything varies from team to team, there are no overriding company policies that curtail work/life balance and, if you have a good relationship with your manager, it can be a great workplace with lots of flexibility.
Cons
Experiences can vary widely depending on the team. Some of the really negative reviews might be quite accurate for some roles on some teams. While personally very satisfied, it is very apparent that other employees can end up in somewhat menial and secretarial roles and, if they do not voice their concerns, will stay there indefinitely. This is not a company for those who expect to advance merely by doing a good job and a degree of innovation and bootstrapping is needed to move around in the company. Growth is rapid year over year but because of the business model it comes in fits and starts. Sometimes your career can feel a little stalled out when the next step is not as well laid out for you as in a Microsoft or Boeing type corporation.
