I could write pages about all the issues with this company, I really don't know where to start. Senior managment is comprised entirely of your typical incompentent project managers who have failed upwords. They have little to no interest in actually learning how the day to day activity of their company, and don't seem to have a grasp on why the company isn't performing to their expectations. It has been mentioned before, but yes, the company is owned by a private equity firm that is seemingly running a pump and dump scheme with Xenon Arc. I started with the company before they were purchased, and things were much different before. What appears to be happening is that they are trying to artificially inflate the value of the company by expanding it WAY too quickly, and then slashing resources through lay offs, and grinding the remaining staff to the bone, so that they can sell it off to someone else. Needless to say, this has created one of the most toxic work cultures I have experienced. This is enhanced by middle management constitantly gas lighting their teams by insisting that the numerous issues with day to day operations don't actually exist, and that you are just having a bad additude. Xenon Arc claims to be a technology company, which is strange, because they absolutely are not. They essentially have the same business model as Dunder Mifflin, but worse. Xenon Arc acts as a middle man for other manufactures, by taking on accounts these manufactures know are basically impossible to grow. This ends up creating a terrible experience for the end user, because we have to increase their prices, and we have no room for negotiating. Our KPIs and metrics were constantly changing, often not even being explained to us. Three quarters in a row, we were not told what our KPIs or goals were, and then chastised after the fact for not meeting these mystery goals. The actual office environment is terrible. Despite the fact the company is already set up to operate almost fully remote, they are not flexible at all with hybrid work. This wouldn't be so bad if we weren't packed into too small of a space. This makes the office increadibly noisey, making it hard to call customers or concentrate on tasks. It was a frequent occurance for my customers to complain about the background noise when I would call them. There is so much more I could detail, don't work here.
