Middle management is mired in "protecting their jobs" so much that the core aspects of the business are being neglected. They seem to be willing to spend money to fix things that don't need fixing but fail to keep the people that make the company go. Pay scale is abysmal for corporate employees. Promises get made for promotions and increase, but that never happens. Middle and upper management like to take credit for other people's work and ideas.
