Pros
Healthcare (union), ability to be yourself. The pay, when calculated with healthcare, is decent. Overtime generally everyday. There really aren’t that many pros. As of now, I’m it’s current form, this is merely a bridge job, to get you to a better place while still being able to afford life essentials.
Cons
The union, the culture, lack of any real safety program, no particular training for drivers. It’s just an illusion of safety and illusion of training. The union culture breeds laziness, your made to believe every job is worth 75k a year, even jobs with little to no necessary skill. The company is evil, the union is God’s perfect plan. It’s apparent that the pension is resolving slowly, as we all pensions, whether private or federal, they are all insolvent, just as YRC’s is.
