Pros

Good job with great benefits and fantastic coworkers/culture. Excellent training plans and many possible career paths, depending on your interests. It’s challenging enough to keep you from counting the clock without pulling your hair out… unless you want to take on that much responsibility. This is the first job I don’t mind, or may even enjoy, doing. Although there can be busy seasons where some overtime is needed.

Cons

It’s leadership is still a bit old fashioned in policies like WFH, time tracking and salaries (for tech) which leads to high turnover and stress on the remaining employees. If you are able to learn the complicated software and handle stress well, you’ll receive a lot of it. A significant raise is only secured if you get a promotion and after the first, it becomes much harder. My department is mostly fair and often provides merit based incentives but I’ve spoken to colleagues in other locations where they suffer from terrible office politics. If I only cared about the money, I would have left already but the daily time logging of each and every task is what gets me - it feels like a lack of trust and a waste of time that cuts into important tasks. Certainly there is a better way to gauge the productivity of intelligent adults. However, they’re always trying to improve.

While we use Radford salary surveys to ensure we stay competitive in our industry, we do experience natural attrition that mirrors that of other companies in our industry. We genuinely ask any employee who has any concerns or suggestions to reach out to our VP of Human Resources so that we can best support.

Pros

Some team members are genuinely supportive and easy to collaborate with, though the overall experience can vary depending on the person.

Cons

Training has been the most inconsistent I’ve experienced in a corporate environment. Expectations are high, but the role itself changes frequently, often without clear communication or proper support. A recent reorganization shifted responsibilities and workloads, and it felt like it was used to delay or avoid well‑deserved raises and promotions across the team. Leadership has also increased micromanagement and plans to move toward a mandatory 2‑day in‑office schedule next year, which adds additional strain without improving collaboration.
