Pros

- Management and Team Leads meet with you often to check in on how you are doing, career goals, questions, concerns. They do so in an authentic way, not obligatory. Leadership has not only asked these questions but has great follow through. They have helped guide me on a path based on my own career goals and they also encourage "out of the box" ideas and love when you take initiative. - I'm empowered in my position but not expected to operate outside of my responsibilities (i.e. taking on loads from management that are not appropriate). - Work life balance is promoted and encouraged. We are not expected to work outside our normal work hours, Time off is respected (no one is reaching out to ask you questions during your off time), and when I have had last minute issues arise with myself or children that require time off (such as being sick), I'm fully supported by leadership and my team members. - Excellent Health Benefits, healthy salary and healthy annual raises (that take inflation into consideration), generous PTO/Sick Days/Holidays - People are always willing to help - there is so much to know and no way to know everything. So many people become Subject Matter Experts and happily provide support to teammates when deeper knowledge and understanding is needed on a topic to assist clients. I have found Team Work to be highly valued here and I love how generous people are with their time and knowledge, rather than brushing you off bc they're too busy. - So many opportunities! Yardi has so many different products and teams for you to experience. i.e. If you find that client facing support is not your thing, there are many behind-the-scene positions for you to look at (and vice versa). There are also great opportunities for growth (which your Manager will often bring up with you based on goals you've shared with them). - Excellent training program. The corporate training I received when I onboarded was the most detailed, in-depth training I received when joining a company. It covered the ins and outs of the software I'd be supporting. There was no "hit the ground running" expectations. Even after corporate training ended, I was paired with a mentor and received additional training specific to what I would be doing daily. I was reasonably eased into the role and really setup to be successful. - No micromanaging - We are empowered and not hovered over or questioned constantly about our workload. However, do not mistaken this for being able slack without being noticed. You are not micromanaged unless you show yourself to have poor work ethic or serious issues completing your work. I've waited for the "shoe to drop" at Yardi, thinking it may be too good to be true. But it is exactly how it seems - an enjoyable and healthy place to work. 10/10 recommend it.

Cons

- Not really a "con" for me, but something to consider: Productivity is looked at weekly - meaning you are logging your activities daily to document productivity. It took some time to get into this habit but not really a big deal anymore. This is more to help with ensuring we have enough employees to handle the workload than it is for micromanaging (which I mentioned in pros). If you are looking for a job where you can 1/2 way work and no one will notice, this isn't the place for you. - Most everyone works from home with in-office being an option. I LIKE that part and appreciate it, but dislike how infrequently I get to see my teammates in-person (we do talk daily on calls and via Teams though). That's not a Yardi issue though, just people's preferences. I actually appreciate that we are given the freedom, I just wish people wanted to voluntarily meet up more often :)

Thank you for the thoughtful and thorough review about your experiences as a Technical Account Manager in our Raleigh location!! We are thrilled to hear that you love many of the things that we believe make Yardi so special, such as our encouraging and supportive leaders who are 'generous' with their time and mentorship, our comprehensive benefits and competitive salaries, the kind and collaborative folks we have on our teams, our training and development programs, and the overall 'enjoyable and healthy' work culture Yardi fosters! You are correct in that time spent supporting clients is captured so we can ensure that our clients’ needs are being met and the team is staffed properly. (Logged time includes training, peer and client support, as well as personal time.) In our hybrid model, employees are encouraged to work where they are most productive and to spend a few days each month connecting and collaborating with coworkers. We appreciate the feedback about your interest in us hosting more on-site events and in-person outings. (We also enjoy connecting with our community in person!) We appreciate your insight and thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review.

Pros

Some team members are genuinely supportive and easy to collaborate with, though the overall experience can vary depending on the person.

Cons

Training has been the most inconsistent I’ve experienced in a corporate environment. Expectations are high, but the role itself changes frequently, often without clear communication or proper support. A recent reorganization shifted responsibilities and workloads, and it felt like it was used to delay or avoid well‑deserved raises and promotions across the team. Leadership has also increased micromanagement and plans to move toward a mandatory 2‑day in‑office schedule next year, which adds additional strain without improving collaboration.

At Yardi, we take pride in our transparent, kind, and respectful culture. Taking care of our employees is of the utmost importance and we work diligently to provide comprehensive training for one's role, a flexible hybrid work model (in which employees are asked to be onsite 1 day per week), and robust compensation and benefits packages. As part of our annual planning, we carefully review the goals for all of our teams and achievable goals are set based on an analysis of market conditions, while maintaining a competitive compensation plan. We genuinely encourage anyone who feels negatively impacted by something to schedule time with the VP of Human Resources to further discuss. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you were not a happier employe and wish you well going forward.
