Pros

The people are genuinely great, and I learned a lot. The mission is important (helping low income Americans find housing), and it’s a place where you can actually care about the work and your coworkers.

Cons

Pay is low compared to similar roles. The bigger issue is leadership accountability. Within marketing specifically, there were ongoing concerns that most people were aware of, but nothing really changed. At times, the leadership style created a tense and at times hostile environment, making it difficult for teams to feel supported and do their best work. More broadly, it felt like some senior leaders were allowed to stay in their roles despite repeated issues being raised, with little visible change. That lack of accountability shows up in inconsistent direction and low morale, and makes it hard to trust leadership.
