I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling undervalued at present. I’m not sure what you’ve done so far, but would strongly suggest you set up some formal time with your supervisor, to develop a career path for you. Some managers are more proactive than others, in terms of opening this sort of dialogue. I’ve been fortunate here the last 10 years. My HR leaders have always asked what I want to do next, and have made sure I continue to grow professionally. If you don’t feel like you are getting the tools you need, to be successful in other areas, from your direct supervisor, you could also talk to their boss. I know that can be awkward at times. HR can help facilitate those sorts of conversations as well. In your office, I’d suggest you reach out to Linda Young or Kevin Richie for additional help.
