Pros
the relationships I developed with fellow nursing staff, all of which also left for same issues.
Cons
Constantly screwed over by company for pay, unpaid lunches when worked, shorted PTO and paychecks. Received an employee success guide when hired. When Corizon was in violation of their own policies regional management actually stated: "You can't expect us to fix the policy book every time we find something wrong with it, can you?" Umm... well yes, I actually do expect you to do exactly that. Management is clueless. Completely unsupportive. Was encouraged to break the law (change charting after issues, lie in charting). Understaffed. No real policies and protocols. Dangerous place to work. Reported to board of nursing and BOLI after leaving company. Just thankful to get out with license still safe. I would't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Bottom line is the only thing important with this company. Does not care about employees or patients at all. Very, very sad. The company also is not well versed the state laws in which they operate and violated Oregon law regularly while I was employed with them. Each time issues were brought up I was referred to the elusive HR dept. WHICH HAS NO PHONE NUMBER!!!! What???? Like I said, just thankful I got out with my nursing license safe.
