Pros
Some of your co-workers can become like family. Decent pay and benefits like tuition reimbursement for continuing education. This can be a great environment for being able to learn new skills that may be just outside of your standard scope of work.
Cons
For commuters, parking can become an issue depending on which site you work at and what privilege your title garners. No opportunities for advancement. High turnover is prevalent throughout the different departments, primarily due to the managing style of specific members of the management team. Unprofessional behavior exhibited at the director level; members of management discuss closed door information about employees in front of others. Respect can be earned but favoritism can outrank it at times. Still waiting to see the written job description for my scope of duties post-merger. Due to the nature of the working environment finding creative solutions to resolving issues without proper tools became somewhat commonplace.
