Pros

Work from home options are good

Cons

When I shared with managers that I was working 100+ hour weeks and my mental health was suffering, a senior manager told me to work more if I wanted to keep my job. I quit and I'm now making more money working half the hours. Don't kill yourself for work - work somewhere else. Also, check out how many 5-star reviews are written by employees with a tenure less than 1 year. That's because managers pressure you to write a 5-star review in your first month, when you're excited about the job. Very cultlike startup vibe. Don't fall for it. EDIT: After I posted this review, Glassdoor took it down and Yipitdata contacted my directly to ask me to remove it. I won't do that and I stand by everything I wrote.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your experience at the company with us. What you’ve described is not aligned with our values. We firmly believe that no employee should be working at the expense of their mental health. We always encourage employees to take advantage of our unlimited PTO, and company benefits to alleviate any stresses they might be facing. Additionally, we never encourage employees to reach out to ask for a post to be removed. We take the honest feedback on Glassdoor to heart and value the opinions shared here because it helps us improve. We’re currently tracking the PTO balances of our employees so that our People Ops team can enforce employees taking time off to reduce burnout. Though we’re disappointed you didn’t enjoy your time at Yipit, we’re happy to hear you’ve found a role better aligned with your goals. Best of luck! Regards, YipitData

Pros

Good compensation, excellent remote working culture, smart people, and open minds.

Cons

Senior leaders are all long-vested and it doesn't look like any are leaving. As the company grows, they tend to hire from outside for new senior roles, to bring in bigger growth company experience. All this means that there is a ceiling. You really cannot get promoted past Director.
