Pros
This was my first full time position out of college, and I felt like I had enough responsibility to make important decisions but was not alone in supporting the building. Large amount of downtime throughout off seasons and day to day, good work life balance until you are on emergency maintenance, and all of the people I worked with were fantastic, including management beyond the property level.
Cons
The job title is leasing professional, but I feel a more apt title would be junior property manager, as most of the work you do involves maintaining positive relationships with current residents. The training videos: a majority are irrelevant and waste time, as a new person to student housing they would be helpful, but it was odd seeing my senior colleagues doing the exact same trainings that I was. I went through an on-site management transition during my time at Yugo and it seemed like the company was ill equipped to handle the loss of the previous leadership staff at the site. The management are all nice people, I just think some way of having a more clear idea of what is actually happening at each property would be very beneficial to all parties in the case of a management transition or otherwise.
