Pros

The bonds you share with some of the residents

Cons

I want to start by saying I’m not a bitter former employee—I’m someone sharing my experience after working in an extremely unhealthy and unethical environment. This was, without question, the worst company and management team I have ever worked for. From the very beginning, there was a lack of honesty and professionalism. Staff were told they couldn’t take breaks and were often scheduled for weeks at a time without a single day off—including working both Saturdays and Sundays. Employees were regularly expected to mislead residents about serious issues such as floods, electrical problems, and pricing. There was also clear favoritism—policies like pet rent were inconsistently enforced depending on whether management liked you or not. The workload was overwhelming, and office staff were constantly forced to handle the property manager’s responsibilities. At the same time, the property manager would come and go during office hours to handle personal matters, leaving the rest of the team to pick up the slack. They also did not support other members of management and created a divide rather than a team environment. There were serious concerns around professionalism and ethics. Timecards were altered, commissions were mishandled, and maintenance staff were blamed for nearly every issue while not being given the funds or resources needed to complete repairs—then told to come up with excuses for residents. The environment was extremely toxic. Gossip about staff was common and often came directly from management, creating tension and distrust within the team. The leasing manager was bullied to the point of quitting, and multiple staff members—including maintenance—eventually left. In fact, nearly the entire office and maintenance team has turned over, which should say a lot about the environment. I am not the only one speaking up—recent former staff and maintenance have discussed these same concerns and share similar experiences. Pay was low for the level of stress, constant complaints from understandably frustrated residents, and the overall chaos of the workplace. I would strongly caution anyone considering working here to seriously reconsider.

Pros

Good balance and flexibility, great for side job in college

Cons

Ask way too much from you for the pay. Treat you like full on leasing agents pressuring you to take advantage of guests to sign leases.
