Pros

-Hybrid working mode -Good compensation -Great office activities -Good office snacks

Cons

As a former employee, I held the company value of "treating people right" in high regard, but my experiences at ZS fell short of this standard. While working under the management of an Associate Principal in an expertise center, I consistently faced challenges that were overlooked by the company. This manager exhibited toxic behaviors that undermined my professional contributions and well-being, yet my attempts to address these issues were largely ignored by upper management. Despite repeated efforts to seek assistance and resolution through the appropriate channels, there was a palpable reluctance from the organization to address or rectify the situation. This not only affected my work experience but also left me questioning the integrity of the company’s core values. I believe ZS has the potential to be a great place to work, but from my experience, there is a significant gap between their stated values and the actual treatment some employees receive. A real commitment to "treating people right" means accountability at all levels, and I hope to see ZS embrace this fully in the future. This review serves as a call to action for the company to uphold its values uniformly, ensuring a genuinely respectful and supportive workplace for everyone.

Pros

Strong culture and collaborative environment with smart, supportive colleagues. Admins are trusted partners and get exposure to senior leadership, which provides great learning opportunities. Compensation and benefits are competitive compared to similar roles.

Cons

Workload can be high, with admins often supporting multiple stakeholders while also providing backup coverage. Expectations can vary widely depending on the team, which can create inconsistency and pressure. Career growth paths are less structured and require a lot of self-direction. Work-life balance can be challenging at times, especially across time zones.
