Pros
Amazing coworkers that help each other. Open vacation policy (take what you need). Company focus on diversity and inclusion has increased. Good ideas and given a try more often than not without ego getting in the way. Company-paid lunches once a week. Good resume builder out of college with opportunity to grow and learn other areas of the business.
Cons
VC acquisition took away stock options for employees. Low pay and mediocre benefits. Executive team feeling the push of the new company ownership and taking it out on other employees. Nepotism for "favorites" that are create a toxic work environment. Turnover of quality people is high. Existing customers being left behind where traditionally "Keep customers ridiculously happy" was the rally cry. Only focus is on selling new deals with very little energy kept on keeping customers. Transparency is fading away, which is to be expected of a company as it grows to an extent, but management still consider themselves to be extremely transparent. No formal process for raises, performance reviews, etc. Company focused more on cheap hires than experienced hires means a lot of time is spent training people who may not actually fit the role.
