Pros

I don't think I've ever enjoyed working with a group of people more, and I mean that. Very nice, very helpful, very supportive. My projects are fun and I've learned a lot.

Cons

They'll lure you in with "flexible hours" and "great work from home options" and then they'll take them away. The perks are worth more than the lousy salary so once those are officially gone there will be no reason to stay at Zayo.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that flexibility is important to our workforce, including working mothers. Our goal with the new policy is to balance the benefits of work team collaboration with reasonable accommodations in terms of flexibility. We will continue to be flexible to accommodate occasional work from home requirements on a needs basis, giving managers discretion to allow flexibility for their direct reports under special circumstances (Dr.’s appointments, home situations, etc.). The new work from home policy was implemented to ensure that employees work primarily from an office location unless their function requires them to be outside a traditional office, or they have an approved exception to the policy. We’d also like to point out that Zayo has other excellent benefits for working mothers and families, including paid parental leave for mothers (12 weeks) and fathers (2 weeks). We care a lot about employee feedback, which is reflected in our Chatter groups, specifically “Blunt, Bold and on my Mind.” Executives read and respond to posts that come directly or anonymously from our employee base. Based on the feedback we’ve received from the hundreds of employee roundtables we’ve conducted and our employee engagement survey that is completed by thousands of employees, we’ve made a number of positive changes over the past year that are resonating well with employees.

Pros

Excellent sales enablement, tools, and internal support. Leadership has done a good job creating an environment where Enterprise Account Executives can focus on selling instead of getting bogged down by administrative tasks. CRM data is clean, processes are organized, and responsibilities between Sales, Customer Success, and Account Management are clearly defined. It’s refreshing to work for a company that invests in the systems and structure needed to help its sales teams succeed.

Cons

Ongoing integration efforts following the Crown Castle Fiber acquisition mean some processes and systems are still evolving. As with most enterprise sales roles, building pipeline requires significant self-sourcing and prospecting across a large territory. The product portfolio is extensive, which creates a bit of a learning curve for new hires but also provides opportunities to solve complex customer challenges.
