Pros

At Zayo you'll get to live out your Fortune 100 fantasies by pretending you work for a highly successful tech company ("Look, free lunch once a month!") while in reality dealing with a unique brand of dysfunction that will make Trump's White House look normal. You'll learn what it's like when the kindergartners run the classroom, as the executive team (VP and above) have an astounding lack of emotional awareness that's apparent at every company-wide call (really, you can't tell be transparent about why the #2 exec in the company left?). And if you get bored of hours-long meetings about how everyone's too busy to get anything done, then you can always jump in the toxic cesspool that is the constant rumor and coworker-bashing mill. Yes, those whispers you hear throughout the offices ARE about your fellow Zayo-ites, and since you can't beat the gossiping, you might as well join in! Bored of that? Watch as 20 year veterans of the company have their dignity stomped on ("Why would we pay out his 5 weeks of accumulated PTO at separation, it isn't even required by LAW!"). Isn't life at a wannabe Fortune 100 fun?

Cons

Oh, did I mention there's no coffee?

Pros

Excellent sales enablement, tools, and internal support. Leadership has done a good job creating an environment where Enterprise Account Executives can focus on selling instead of getting bogged down by administrative tasks. CRM data is clean, processes are organized, and responsibilities between Sales, Customer Success, and Account Management are clearly defined. It’s refreshing to work for a company that invests in the systems and structure needed to help its sales teams succeed.

Cons

Ongoing integration efforts following the Crown Castle Fiber acquisition mean some processes and systems are still evolving. As with most enterprise sales roles, building pipeline requires significant self-sourcing and prospecting across a large territory. The product portfolio is extensive, which creates a bit of a learning curve for new hires but also provides opportunities to solve complex customer challenges.
