Pros

Ziff Davis does many good things for their employees: a generous insurance package, various employee resources groups, an employee assistance fund, and a mentoring program, to name a few. For those working remotely they do pay up to $50 toward your internet bill, so long as you claim the expense.

Cons

The pay is not quite on par for the industry, for example, level 2 support starts at $40K/yr, with raises being merit-based only, and only up to 8%. Remote teams seem to be an afterthought when it comes to "in-office" benefits like team parties or provided snacks and drinks. In fact 2022 winter holidays were all but forgotten, with the exception of days off with holiday pay, meaning there were no 2022 Christmas/holiday parties.

Pros

Great experience working with my direct team and with other collaborators. Fulfilling work that has purpose and a stable environment of growth.

Cons

Fully remote, so not a ton of opportunity to interact in-person.

Pros

Coworkers are great, flexible time off and remote work is nice

Cons

Expect a constant fear of being laid off and don’t event think you’ll get a merit increase, bonus, or any sort of recognition for hard work and high performance. C-Suites only vision for the future seems to be when to schedule layoffs throughout the year and then receive hefty yearly raises and bonuses for themselves.
