Pros

Great people to work with and they try to keep the perks up to date with other companies

Cons

Very boiler room environment in the Orange County office. You get treated like a child for elements of your job that across other offices, employees do not have to do. Do not work in the Orange County office unless you are good with brown nosing and also unfair treatment across the teams for new clients and inbound leads ect.

Thank you for the candid review. I really appreciate you taking the time to give feedback on your experience and what we can do better. Regarding the people and perks, I agree the #1 key to our success, as a company, has been our people and culture. The perks are fantastic but the people and culture are what really drive our business. I am glad to hear your experience is similar to mine. To your points on our environment, in Orange County, we certainly drive two things at a high level: attention to detail and attention to our activity. We do so for two reasons: attention to detail is a piece of driving a great client experience and high activity is a piece of generating world class results. Also to your point regarding our reward system, we are very much a data meritocracy. Whether it is receiving an inbound as a Sales Executive or new clients as a Business Consultant, activity and performance are the drivers, not internal politics. It sounds like your experience has been different. I would like to hear more about that. Please feel free to pull me aside on the sales floor to discuss or you can email me as well. Thanks again for the review. Your candor is important to our continued development as a business. Steve Capezza - Vice President, Premier Agent Sales - Orange County & New York City

Pros

Very collaborative team, encouraging team members and managers. Great experience overall.

Cons

Because most people work remote, sometimes it can be hard to meet immediately to chat.

Thank you for sharing your experience as an intern at Zillow. We’re glad to hear that your team felt collaborative and supportive, and that your managers helped create a positive environment overall. We also appreciate your perspective on remote work and the challenges that can sometimes come with connecting quickly in a distributed environment. Pros

Generally the people I work with are great. They are supportive, creative, and work well as a team. Work-life balance is good, although some teams have more on-call than others.

Cons

- Senior leadership has determined that inflation need not be a factor when calculating raises. - Also, we're having record profitability! But also money is very tight and we all need to tighten our belts. - Our stock is down 50% this year, but you all need to suck it up, even though stock is a huge part of pay. - We don't care that you are getting a 30% effective pay cut this year. - Performance ratings are calculated on vibes before reviews are actually written. - We've started outsourcing heavily to Mexico and India. - "We need to raise the bar" ("Please work harder for the same pay") - Health benefits have eroded for several years. - Other benefits have never been adjusted for inflation. - AI is becoming like a cult. We've actually been told that the dream is to never open a code editor again, despite the technology not being remotely ready for that (and with no proof that it is less expensive or saves time).
