Pros

They have managed time off and remote work is allowed on occasions. They are investing in IT technology (software) to increase efficiency for operations and engineering, which is good for learning newer/better ways of doing something. They are trying to bring the company to the 21st century, but it might be too late for the Florida operations.

Cons

The seems to be a cloud of secrecy around the company, especially in Florida, since the spin off from Zimmer Biomet. No one really knows what the future holds. It's a ship that seems lost at sea but who ever is at the steering wheel knows where it's going. Also, there is a sister facility in Spain that seems to have a significant difference in operating costs which has caused a competition to retain products. There has been a large headcount reduction in 2024 across all roles, engineering, etc. Also, with the continuous changes it can be hard to make improvements. The QMS is a spider web of documents which means even the smallest change is significant endeavor to implement. The non-machining workforce can be around 50 percent temporary employees who typically have no manufacturing background, can't read blueprints etc. This can be a headache on the quality side but there has been improvements to fix on board training but they typically let the people go by the time they become reliable. It's a cat and mouse game with finance.

Pros

Working as a TSM at ZimVie has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The schedule offers a high level of autonomy and flexibility, allowing you to manage your territory in a way that drives results while still maintaining balance in your personal life. As long as you’re organized and proactive, you truly have ownership of your day-to-day operations. The compensation structure is very competitive and performance-driven, which makes it motivating for high achievers. The earning potential aligns well with the effort you put in, and strong performance is recognized and rewarded appropriately. One of the biggest differentiators at ZimVie is the work-life balance. In a sales role, that’s not always easy to find - but here, leadership genuinely supports sustainable success. There’s an understanding that long-term performance requires both professional focus and personal well-being. Speaking of leadership, there is strong, experienced leadership in place that is accessible, supportive, and invested in your development. You’re given clear expectations, the right tools to succeed, and guidance when you need it - without micromanagement. Overall, ZimVie is a great place for someone who is self-motivated, values flexibility, wants strong earning potential, and appreciates being part of a team led by capable, supportive leaders.

Cons

Following the acquisition, Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ This place is a case study in how leadership insecurity, HR weaponization, and fake optics can destroy morale and damage good people. What you see on the surface — polished branding, people-first language, and "collaborative values" — is purely for show. Behind the curtain is a toxic, fear-driven environment where survival depends on staying silent, staying small, or selling your soul. Let’s be clear: Fake professionalism rules here. Leaders smile in public meetings and talk about "transparency" while privately plotting to discredit or isolate anyone who challenges them. Gaslighting is rampant. You will be told your concerns are invalid, that you're imagining things, or that “you misunderstood.” Meanwhile, the people actually causing harm are praised and protected. Feedback is not welcome. Unless you're offering blind praise, your input will be dismissed, picked apart, or used against you. Favoritism and bias dictate success. Promotions and visibility go to those who play politics, align demographically, or stay quiet. Talent, ethics, and hard work come second. Clients are misled regularly. Work is repackaged to appear more strategic or impactful than it actually is. Some leaders even fabricate "feedback" or metrics to tell the story they want. Blame rolls downhill. When something goes wrong — and it often does due to poor planning and leadership chaos — expect fingers pointed at you, even if you had no control. Buzzwords mask incompetence. Leaders use corporate lingo to sound informed, but if you press for details, the cracks show. Strategy meetings are more about posturing than outcomes. Backchannel gossip is the real communication channel. Sensitive info gets leaked, alliances form in whispers, and people are judged for things they were never told directly. Mental and emotional health will suffer. If you’re conscientious, skilled, or principled, this culture will eat at you slowly. You'll start questioning your own value — not because you’re not good, but because the system is built to punish anyone who threatens fragile egos. The most dangerous thing is how well it's all disguised. Leadership performs empathy while cultivating fear. They claim to support growth while pulling the rug out from anyone who gets too visible. They will use your ideas, your energy, and your reputation — then discard you without hesitation the moment you’re inconvenient. And here, "inconvenient" means: too smart, too honest, too well-liked, too independent, or too unwilling to lie.
