Pros

It's a job. You can wear shorts to work. Only 2 reasons that I can think of.

Cons

Very political company. Good ole boys club - females are paid considerably less than males. Stock options are given to some, but not all in similiar positions. Biomet has alot of very arrogant people that work there. It's like there is a club and you are in it or not in it. Upper management runs the company like a ma & pa sweat shop with very little interaction, direction, or feedback. For the companies I have worked for since graduating from college, I truely have to say Biomet is lacking good management, low benefits, little respect for people, integrity and a genuine caring attitude. I have never been associated with a company that is so lacking of consistency in rules and regulations from one employee to the next. It is ok for some to do things a certain way...but others not in the club it is not ok. It is very tough to work in an environment where the rules aren't consistent for everyone. There is also an attitude within Biomet that knowledge is power.....so if you have the information no one will share it with you. There is a constant fear and intimidation factor that plays into some employees within the company where they do not want others to be successful out of fear of loosing their own position. It is a very tough environment to be in. If you are up for the challenge then go for it...but my personal advice is stay as far away from this company as possible.
