Pros
I loved my time at ZipRealty - from the team, to the work I did, to the atmosphere. I was with ZipRealty for about 4 years, starting as an intern and ending as a UI Designer. My skills grew immensely during my time at ZipRealty and credit that to the strong Design leadership and Product Management leadership.
For any designers thinking of applying - you will LOVE it here. The senior designer is by far the best boss I'll ever have. He is encouraging and egoless. He gave me a great opportunity to shine and I ended up being a strong lead for the business products. He shaped me to be the designer I am now. There are tons of opportunities for things to work on and he listens to what your interests are and tries to adjust the work accordingly.
The PMs are all very intelligent and great to work with. The brainstorming sessions I got to do with them were a lot of fun but also productive and exciting. They truly know the product and are great at transferring the knowledge.
I went to work everyday excited because the team at ZipRealty play a huge part. Don't get me wrong - I am proud and happy with the work I did, but it's the team that really makes it all worth it. You feel like you're joining a family and there's never a dull moment.
