Pros
It is a job, and if you excel you can make ok money in Sales. Take it if you are desperate but plan on staying less than a year or two. It used to be a good place to get your foot in the door in IT Sales, but the lack of training now maybe makes that less relevant.
Cons
The base pay is a joke for sales positions, the commission plan changes every year and never for the better. They pay less than most of their competitors. They are offshoring most of the sales positions to Pakistan, they are growing like crazy there. PDX and AUB offices have gone from totally full 300 plus sales reps to about 70-80 total. They are making a big push to move to a service provider, even though most of the service offerings are half baked at best. Also they suck at marketing, selling solutions would be great, but most folks think of them as a box pusher and nothing more. CDW and Insight spend on ads, Zones not so much. Strategy changes every year. Management below directors at this point is filled with failed sales reps who are willing to be yes men to whatever whims come from above.
