Pros

Great product. Well-known brand. Alway's rounding out the solution. Customers like us.

Cons

First of all. I am a producer that came in at 132% of plan last half. So this isn't from some disgruntled AM or AE. Just someone who recognizes the horrible culture and wont be here long as a result. If you enjoy "1990's boiler room style" sales culture than this place is for you. It starts at the top from their COO (Chris) all the way down the chain. Daily team meetings to review pipeline. Every opportunity is dissected and they come down on you if you dont have a plan to overcome any risk. No coaching from managers or VP's. They just get frustrated when deals slip and say things like "What are we doing here?!", etc. Everyone feels like they're walking on eggshells, even when you're hitting your number. They'd don't hesitate to let people go for the dumbest reasons - you're always at risk of being fired. Also, Sr Exec's meet monthly to approve commission payouts on any meaningful/large deals that were closed. They will find any and all reasons not to pay you on it. If you close a whale that is over half your quota, don't count on getting paid what you thought. You'll only get paid a fraction of it. Any meaningful deal that senior leadership helped push over the finish line due to connections or relationships, nope you wont get fully paid. In the variable comp plan it says in the fine print that they have the right to pay you less on any deal that is over half your quote or that was supported at the executive level. Also, they do not drink their own koolaid. We sell on boosting efficiency and taking a dat-driven approach to selling, but we do not do it. Our Saleforce is a mess, everyone works off multiple spreadsheets, it takes time to fill in data gaps, etc. You'll have more internal meetings and spend more time filling out spreadsheets, Qualification trackers, etc then you will in front of customers.

Hi, we appreciate the time you took to share your experience at ZI. No one is always at risk of being fired here. We care about our employees and are constantly evaluating the organization, ensuring that we have the right people in the right roles to drive our long-term growth and success. We also have open lines of communication to share opinions and concerns, like our recent engagement survey which we will be reporting back on soon. And as Henry shared during the All Hands meeting our products succeed when they are best-in-class, easy-to-use, easy-to-administer, and easy-to-buy. And importantly, we set quota targets that we believe are achievable. We encourage you to share frustrations directly with your HRBP so that we can offer meaningful solutions and prepare our managers with the best guidance for their teams to thrive.

Great place to work with a lot of forward thinking leaders to learn from. Really ahead of other companies on implementing AI in the business. Moves much faster with less bureaucracy than other similarly sized companies

Cons

Difficult macro environment for the company and industry

Thank you for the kind words. This genuinely means a lot to us. We're proud of the caliber of leaders here and the pace at which we're embedding AI into how we work, so it's great to hear that comes through day-to-day. You're right that the macro environment is presenting challenges – we won't pretend otherwise. What we can control is continuing to move faster and smarter than our peers, and feedback like yours is a reminder of why the culture we've built is a competitive advantage in itself. We're glad you're part of it. – Jennifer Creticos, ZoomInfo Chief Business Officer

Pros

Good pay, good benefits and great office.

Cons

Poor hiring decisions, recent layoffs eliminated mostly remote employees because they are prioritizing in office employees, especially with recent investment in office. RIF was not at all based on performance which meant that some in office employees who don't know what they are doing got to keep their job. You have to suck up to management to get promoted and a lot of really good reps leave as a result of constant micro-management.

Thank you for the feedback, and we're glad the pay, benefits, and office experience worked well for you. To be clear, though, the recent restructure was not targeted at remote employees. It reflected a strategic decision to restructure some of our sales and support operations as we shift how we approach certain segments of the business, both in terms of personnel and platform. The people affected were valued contributors and we recognize their work helped make ZoomInfo what it is today. The suggestion that in-office employees who stayed "don't know what they're doing" simply isn't accurate. Additionally, we go hard at the end of every month (which is true across SaaS sales broadly) but would push back on the characterization of the culture. Our employee engagement team works hard to make that sprint enjoyable, with in-office lunches and activities. Sales is a high-pressure environment by nature, and we're proud of the culture we've built around it. We appreciate you sharing your perspective, even where we see it differently. – Stephen Antuna, ZoomInfo SVP of Account Management
