      Dishonest management - stay away - Software Engineer Zoox Employee Review

      None - company's best days are behind it

      Management is dishonest - company initiated sale process in Dec. 2019 but in early 2020 CTO claimed to me in conversation that Zoox had a bright future ahead despite the company attracting no interest for further financing and poor interest for acquisition. Hopefully this is the last company CTO is a co-founder for - he lacks integrity. Investors and board need to take a hard look in the mirror at what company they helped create/grow.

      Pros

      Best things in sequence - Food (breakfast, lunch, dinner), Very nice office environment, not high-pressure performance stress, mostly slow. I am very optimistic about their future.

      Cons

      Pay is on the lower side; most engineers are imported from Michigan - but still they say we are in Bay Area for the Talent lol. They don't always hire the best of the bunch - Interview is easy overall. Hiring friends/friends of friends might be a thing, who knows. Employee retention is an issue.
