Pros

• Great environment for driven employees: This is an excellent place for individuals who are motivated and enjoy working hard. High performers are recognized and rewarded, and there is a clear expectation of accountability and contribution. • Career growth opportunities: There are meaningful opportunities to grow your career, but success requires owning your development, being proactive, and seeking out opportunities. Those who take initiative can build a rewarding career here. • Culture of continuous improvement: The emphasis on continuous improvement encourages personal and professional growth, innovation, and finding better ways to work, which can be very energizing for the right individual. • Strong rewards and benefits: The company offers a competitive and well-rounded benefits package, including generous 401(k) match, HSA contributions, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan with a discount, and a bonus program that rewards both company performance and individual contribution.

Cons

• Fast-paced environment: The organization moves quickly, which may not be a fit for those who prefer highly routine or predictable day-to-day work. • Frequent change: Processes, priorities, and structures do evolve as part of the continuous improvement mindset and the company’s history of growth and acquisitions. Employees who are adaptable and comfortable with change tend to thrive in this environment.

Pros

Competitive pay and benefits for the area. Team-oriented environment where coworkers are willing to help each other succeed. Opportunities to learn multiple assembly stations and build new skills. Fast-paced workday that keeps you engaged. Strong focus on safety and providing the tools needed to do the job. Stable employment with opportunities for overtime.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, especially during busy production periods. Training can vary depending on who is assigned as the trainer. Learning multiple stations takes time and can feel overwhelming for new employees. Production demands can sometimes make it challenging to spend enough time training new associates.

Pros

Competitive pay, many volunteer opportunities

Cons

I would not recommend working at Zurn’s Erie location. In my experience, the leadership culture is deeply disconnected from the employees they are responsible for leading. Talented, hardworking individuals are driven away rather than developed and supported. Experience, initiative, creativity, adaptability, and a willingness to go above and beyond are rarely recognized or valued. The organization consistently prioritizes quantity over quality, while significant issues involving leadership, processes, and communication remain unaddressed. Employees are discouraged from speaking up, challenging decisions, or offering new perspectives. Instead of fostering collaboration and psychological safety, the culture often rewards compliance and silence. Leadership routinely uses team meetings and group discussions to interrupt, dismiss, or publicly undermine employees. In my experience, there was a pervasive fear of retaliation, which discouraged open communication and honest dialogue. HR also appeared to prioritize protecting senior leadership over addressing employee concerns objectively, contributing to a workplace where employees had little confidence that issues would be handled fairly or without negative consequences Before posting this review, I noticed many 5-star reviews repeating the phrase, “It’s not for everyone.” I agree with that sentiment—but perhaps for different reasons. Working in the Zurn Erie office appears to be best suited for individuals who are comfortable in an environment where people, sound processes, and ethical decision-making are not consistently prioritized. It is a workplace that, in my experience, relies heavily on fear-based management and offers little room for creativity, independent thinking, or diverse perspectives. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this workplace. Anyone considering employment should carefully research the organization’s culture and speak with current and former employees before accepting a position.
