Pros

Has paid the bills for many years now. They changed earned vacation policy so new employees get pro-rated 2 weeks a year.

Cons

Looking to get hired on expect to wait almost a year while being used as a temp. No personal days or sick days. 5 day notice to schedule vacation days or hours count against attendance. Rolling 365 day calender for lost time and tardiness. At 80 hours or 20 something tardys you are terminated. As for bidding on internal jobs it's pointless unless you are the one the planned to give the job to. Work flow to areas is very spotty, meaning overtime is expected all the way to scrounging for work that day depending on time of month and work center. Management seems to rotate through within 3 years. They get in, want to fix issues, find out they can't get numbers, start being belligerent and then the cycle resets. Quality can be swept under the rug and policies ignored at the end of the month. When asked to sign their initials they back peddle or say run it anyway. Pay raises are now percentages and the most you get is 5% but medical goes up 8% We downsized and made our shop very lean in critical areas. Used to have gage setter, maintenance, and electrician on every shift. Now only on days.

Pros

The company employs a very deliberate and meaningful strategy for success. This requires to have alignment with all employees to drive the specific initiatives. This creates not only drive for continued success of the company but also great opportunities for employees as the company continues to grow.

Cons

The focus / speed to drive initiatives is not for everyone but for those who do not accept average, it is a great place to thrive while being a part of the company's success.

Pros

Competitive pay, many volunteer opportunities

Cons

I would not recommend working at Zurn’s Erie location. In my experience, the leadership culture is deeply disconnected from the employees they are responsible for leading. Talented, hardworking individuals are driven away rather than developed and supported. Experience, initiative, creativity, adaptability, and a willingness to go above and beyond are rarely recognized or valued. The organization consistently prioritizes quantity over quality, while significant issues involving leadership, processes, and communication remain unaddressed. Employees are discouraged from speaking up, challenging decisions, or offering new perspectives. Instead of fostering collaboration and psychological safety, the culture often rewards compliance and silence. Leadership routinely uses team meetings and group discussions to interrupt, dismiss, or publicly undermine employees. In my experience, there was a pervasive fear of retaliation, which discouraged open communication and honest dialogue. HR also appeared to prioritize protecting senior leadership over addressing employee concerns objectively, contributing to a workplace where employees had little confidence that issues would be handled fairly or without negative consequences Before posting this review, I noticed many 5-star reviews repeating the phrase, “It’s not for everyone.” I agree with that sentiment—but perhaps for different reasons. Working in the Zurn Erie office appears to be best suited for individuals who are comfortable in an environment where people, sound processes, and ethical decision-making are not consistently prioritized. It is a workplace that, in my experience, relies heavily on fear-based management and offers little room for creativity, independent thinking, or diverse perspectives. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this workplace. Anyone considering employment should carefully research the organization’s culture and speak with current and former employees before accepting a position.
