Pros

They paid market rates. The shop was pretty clean for an industrial environment. Good benefits. They seem to be in a good financial situation. The hours were a little flexible in the office and the coffee was free. There were lots of restrooms and break rooms.

Cons

Several inexperienced managers trying to get ahead. This led to short-sighted, poorly thought-out micro-managing decisions and lots of self-promotion at the expense of others. There was a very clear "club" of buddies at the top locally and lots of headbutting between the different locations after the acquisition. Some departments were better than others. Many managers and even HR reps were extremely unprofessional at times. There were several managers who were promoted up from the manufacturing floor without any business training, making financial and accounting discussions difficult. Promotions were also blocked if you were "too important where you are". They laid people off only to dump a ton of work on the people were left. Several job postings are "fake" and never actually get filled. All of the best people are super over-loaded with work.

Cons

Corporate structure can occasionally make project timelines move a bit slowly due to multiple levels of approval.
