Pros
Overtime often available Benefits were okay
Cons
- No way to advance in the company if you weren't a white man (I was the only one on the floor with a college degree and RAN a department by myself for 6 months but kept getting told I did not have enough experience...what a joke!) - Management acted like they were scared of troublemaking employees - Mandatory overtime was often announced at the last minute Hire all new folks for management. Some of those managers and leads have been there for decades and then they wonder why things never improve! Actually encourage your younger employees by offering leadership and mentoring opportunities. I asked about a mentoring program and was told the company "doesn't hold employees by the hand". I've never met a group of managers who were so stuck on running things as if they were in the 1990s.
