Pros

- The culture, people I work with, bagel Fridays and food/drinks available, team or company get-together - Location- Bell Works is great and brings that city feel to NJ. It is not the "punch the clock" type of environment. You do what you need to do and most managers are good with how you get it done, as long as you are. - The room I am given to do my job and get it done, as well as to think outside of the box. - The handling of the pandemic- one of the first companies to have everyone work from home, a lot of time with the C- Suite and leadership on what was going on, etc. From the top down it was stressed that you need to do what you need to do for yourself and your loved ones, not just your job. This felt wonderful to hear while all this was going on to have the flexibility to take care of your life and your job without guilt or worry. Quiet hours were implemented to give people time to do this or at least get work done without meetings interrupting and people have been respectful. - Benefits at the organization are very strong and they do their best to keep the cost down and absorb cost, so it does not go to the employees. Seems like they are always trying to think of how to make these better as Paternity leave and tuition reimbursement was increased this past year and I hope we continue in this direction. They have also surveyed employees about working from home, so I am hoping something more official comes from this that gives employees more flexibility as we have proven strong in this matter. - Internal mobility: I have seen to be something strong here. A lot of people have had career growth and have been given opportunities. I have seen moves based on potential and not just doing the job already- a mix of both. Overall, I enjoy my job the people I work with and the company I work for.

Cons

- The company did have to lay off employees through out the pandemic. I personally was not affected, but I do know if you are not reading into it or conspiracies, it does make sense that a company needs to cut back during a time like this. Leadership was pretty clear internally after it happened. However, I do think there could have been more done to be transparent, so people were not running wild with ideas and emotions. - Some areas could do better in terms of giving growth opportunity or showing where and what someone needs to do to get to the next step. Sowing succession plans and career pathing would be helpful in this area. Making it clear you don’t need to wait for someone to leave to get to the next step. - Direction could be clearer, and processes could be refined to be more efficient but also defined so you are not getting different information from multiple people. It is definitely a fast paced, changing environment, so if you are not someone who thrives in this- it may not be for you. You need to work in the gray, it is not just black and white. - I would love to see a more flexible schedule overall of the company /unlimited vacation since some of the company does get this based on the state you live in. Flexibility is at management discretion and most of them are ok with it anyway. - Pay- I think over all we could increase employee compensation and offer ownership into the growth we are consistently driving

Pros

My team was very committed to our customers and very collaborative with each other. Everyone was kind to each other, and historically there had been opportunities for mentorship and career development.

Cons

Unclear expectations from leadership. We always felt like we were trying to play catch up with how things were changing. We also always felt like we were underpaid.
