Pros

The reason to work at iDashboards is the people that you will work with every day. I started at iDashboards almost two years ago, and for the past two years I have been privileged to work with some of the most amazingly smart, and talented people. These people which include iDashboards leadership, and my peers have helped me grow both professionally and personally. Knowing very little about dashboards, I quickly became comfortable after the training period working with an industry leader in data visualization software. Continuing education is important to leadership and the rest of the team. Over the past two years I have gained great hands on real world experiences working with data in Microsoft Excel and in T-SQL in a multitude of different industries. iDashboards leadership encourages continuing education with group and self-study. iDashboards reimbursed individuals on my team for passing Microsoft certification tests. My team is a part of the tech services group which is fantastic. An open environment where you can feel comfortable expressing your opinions to the team. Management is always listening to feedback and being open to implementing new organic ideas from the group quickly. Change happens often so the environment is constantly evolving as the company grows. Some of the major changes that have happened during my time may have been slow, but all have had positive impacts on the company and the culture. My previous employer was at a large company where you interacted little with people in other areas or departments. Access to HR was a 1-800 number for me not someone in person. Here at iDashboards there is a very active and engaged HR department who is extremely focused on employee morale along with team activities to help bond the different departments together and keep the work atmosphere enjoyable. Expect to be invited to quarterly happy hours, golf tournaments, holiday events, special activates, or events raising money for local charities and blood drives. iDashboards is a place where you are going to work hard, occasionally putting in some long hours, but enjoying the benefits of hanging out with a group of people every day that you can also call your friends.

Cons

The product architecture is starting to age. Development can be stubborn about software updates and enhancement suggestions. Even though you get great hands on experience in data visualization, business intelligence and project management, career growth within the company is limited in a technical sense.

Pros

I worked two different roles at iDashboards, and always knew what was expected of me. Management was respectful and thoughtful. It was a positive experience.

Cons

Defining an overall direction of the company was tough while I was there, but that has since been solved.

Pros

The company truly cares about work/life balance. Very flexible on WFH, employees going back to school, needing to pick up kids from daycare early, etc. A great place to learn about the industry. Everyone is helpful and wants to see you succeed. The technical teams are outstanding. Low turnover, smart people, clients love them. Many changes over the years but they have been in the best interest of the company. Just roll with them. Great people work here. It is never a drag to go into the office. HR plans a lot of fun team building activities, lunches, holiday celebrations that everyone enjoys.

Cons

Low base pay on the sales team causes high turnover. This could be fixed with a higher base or better commission structure. There were was a group of negative people there at one time (most are gone - and honestly they are the type that aren't happy at any job). If you work hard and ignore it you will be fine. Development NEEDS a change. The product lacks innovation and is not keeping up with competition. One person should not be allowed to say and do whatever they feel like without any checks/balances. CEO is a great person who cares about his employees but unfortunately seems to be more reactive than proactive when it comes to product enhancements.

iDashboards Response

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate the feedback and would like to take the time to respond to a few points in particular: Pay: iDashboards offers employees generous/marketable compensation packages. We are continuously reviewing our comp packages to confirm they are competitive and fair. Development: We have a lot of excitement surrounding our software development - with the upcoming release of 9.5 and the addition of personnel resources on the development team.
