Pros

- Great corporate events - Nice office space - Quiet environment - Gym, game room, kitchen, cafe, bike storage, lactation room, patio & grill, park - Tons of complimentary food and drinks - Team lunches/dinners (during long hours) - Awesome 401K matching - Reliable colleagues - Tech savvy/heavy company (laptop provided) - Training by really intelligent and dedicated colleagues - Pay is okay - Ability to work from home, but has its limitations on access

Cons

- Long hours/lack of work life balance (60-70 hr weeks) - Inefficient direct management due to lack of experience - Unstructured tasks/lack of time management - Manager isn’t trained/lack knowledge of all duties within the dept. - Understaffed dept. - No flexibility for newcomers - Rely on chat for communication vs. team meetings - Heavy workload and last minute changes/requests on duties already completed - Only recognize 6 holidays (not including MLK or Veterans) - Transitioned from FTO (Flexible Time Off) to accruing limited PTO based on length of employment

Thank you for your feedback. We are taking action to make sure all of the teams get the same work-life balance, and we definitely don’t expect such long regular hours. We have also been bringing in more management that are better trained and equipped to lead a tech-savvy group and will also motivate them to create that extra flexibility. We believe our PTO program is generous but will take feedback to improve it. The move from FTO was a result of hearing our people want something more tangible and close to other companies which was the resulting PTO system. We will continuously get the feedback on the new programs and tweak within our reasonable limits. - BT Bitarafan

Pros

iHerb pays 100% of medical benefits for you and your immediate family. They are generous with vacation accruals. Salaries are generous.

Cons

The company continues to operate with a small-business, "mom-and-pop" mentality despite its growth. Leadership is highly centralized, with most decisions driven by the CEO. Employees often perceive that those who are not viewed favorably by leadership are eventually managed out of the organization. There is a culture of fear around speaking up, as many employees worry about potential negative consequences to their employment. Favoritism among leaders is frequently observed, and advancement opportunities can be limited for individuals who are not part of the preferred inner circle.
