Pros

This is the most honest review of the TSM role you will find. ( I left for a new position) Pros: Not a high stress environment, set your own schedule, stable position (in regards to keeping your job).. As long as you do your job you have nothing to worry about. MOST people are good people who you will enjoy working with. They offer a solid PTO package (BEWARE THE PTO IS ACCRUED). company car (you pay for it monthly 140-180 off a check, however everything else is free).

Cons

New commission structure, you will NOT make much money in commission. I worked in a top territory and was not making much money at all. Conservatively cut commission in the 20-30K range. ASK them to explain the commission structure in the interview and you will understand what I am saying. Constant changing of the guard/direction of the company. Every other month they are changing what KPI's are expected/whatever the new flavor of the month is. They preach transparency however its a thick black cloud at the top/from HQ (Germany/Rhode Island). The higher up's care more about inputting notes/information in salesforce than anything else. You could go out and have solid meetings all day and then come back to your manager asking why you don't have any notes in the system. Lastly, they mislead you. After the commission plan was changed they told us that they were going to provide a "discretionary" year end bonus (year end bonuses were taken away in the NEW commission plan). We were told for months these would mimic or "be close" to what we have received in past years. I received 7% of what my bonus would have been. Also, ask them about how many people have left in the last year or 2? We have lost well over 20 salespeople at this company(maybe more). It is very sad because I really enjoyed my job and working at this company. I never had any intention of leaving until all these changes happened. What I went over is not even 25% of all the negative changes that has happened. I hope you use this information to inform yourself and not take this as a brazen negative review. Igus overall is a solid, growing company, just not one that rewards high producers and provides a positive collaborative environment

Pros

Great PTO, Free snacks, laid back environment, awesome managers.

Cons

HR claims the job is 1 day WFH when it is indeed not that until "after your formal training" which wasn't until 4 months after they hired me. This wasn't explained in the hiring process at all. The 1 day is also subject to your teams availability, so you don't get to pick which days work best for you. Most of this job if not all can be done remote, so this was a huge fail. Commission is team/business based. Basically the business needs to make 20% more than the previous year for you to even SEE commission. It's not individually measured even though as an inside sales rep, you do a lot of the paper pushing for these sales. The atmosphere here is genuinely good, however a few bad eggs make the workplace somewhat toxic. Theres A LOT of young people (25 and younger) who work in the sales department and think they know it all. They talk down to, pile on work, and over-stress new employees because they're trying to make a name for themselves and show they know how to train new people. It creates a toxic environment real fast. However, most of the people here are actually really nice.
