Good training for new hires, but management struggles - Mortgage Loan Officer loanDepot Employee Review

Pros

Great for new hires. They train you well for the SAFE exam with about three weeks worth of training. If you pay attention and study you will pass easily.

Cons

Guilt trips to stay late if your day was not productive (aka locked a loan). New Hires are given the crappiest and bottom of the barrel leads. You need to make a ridiculous amount of phone calls to find 1 good prospect while the best leads are given to the top MLO's in the platinum level. Management is okay depending upon who you get. The first Team Lead I had was awesome. The second was like a lost puppy who did not know how to train and lead a team. Upper management is terrible. They talk a big game and there is a lot of pounding on the chest like they were in Wolf of Wall Street. Pay plan changed twice and benefits cut when interest rates increased.

Pros

Work from home, loans get closed on time

Cons

They are not scared to fire pregnant women or to downgrade their job after maternity leave and pretend like it's the same job- it happened to me and at least one other employee
