nVent as a corporation has a good culture and aims to do the right thing. Depending on the team and department, it can be a very good place to work and is people-focused.
Cons
Some departments and teams do not have a good culture and still struggles with the toxicity in the workplace. The upper leadership is trying to change this, however, some people are resistant to change.

Thank you for your comments and taking the time to leave a review! We appreciate the opportunity to learn about how your experience as an nVent employee has been and are glad to hear that you're pleased with our culture. You are 100% correct that the implementation of our larger culture tenants and values can vary from location to location. It is unfortunate, but we are fully aware and stiving to improve this. As you've mentioned, executive leadership and local managers are working to drive positive change, but it can be a longer process than we'd like. We're confident that we can get there nonetheless! Again, we are grateful for your feedback and wish you the best on your career journey with us!
I had a great onboarding experience - my manager was very prepared with a clear and useful onboarding plan. The people have been very welcoming and the company culture is great.
Cons
The company is growing rapidly, which presents natural challenges - but the overall experience has been very positive.

Thank you for sharing your experience as an employee at nVent and for giving us a perfect rating! We are pleased to hear that things have been positive, that you're on a great team, that onboarding went well, and that you're thriving!
Great place to work. Very considerate of actual career and life experience rather than focusing on having a degree. Management really cares about your success personally and professionally. Top-notch focus on career development. Cohesive, cooperative teams. Fair base pay for experience, good health benefits, and decent flexibility.
Cons
Your experience will be deeply influenced by which location you work at and position you work in. The company has a good framework for inclusion but in reality there are unchecked local employees who make it very uncomfortable if you can't pass for right wing. Raises are inconsistent and don't seem to be determined by performance ratings. Despite having a good review every cycle, I haven't seen so much as a cost of living adjustment post - promotion.
