Pros

If you are a test engineer and working for external manufacturing team, you don't have to take much responsibility. No test program software skill is required, no hardware (test boards) repairing skill needs to be picked up. All tough issues can pass to BU's test engineer. You will have much flexible time before and after working hour.

Cons

If you are a BU test engineer, you will be responsible for new product introduction as well as sustaining activates, with that said, you will not only need to develop test program and test hardware for new devices but also need to handle various lower yield, QC failure, customer returned and hardware repair activities.

Pros

The company is focused on meaningful, long‑term impact, and you truly feel that the work you do matters—especially given onsemi’s role in power, automotive, and industrial technologies.

Cons

Like many large global companies, alignment across regions and functions can take time.

Pros

Coworkers, if any are left. Benefits are standard. Good place to start, get a few years experience and then run,

Cons

management by spreadsheet. You are a cog in the wheel, and only that. The new plant manager is a carpet bagger who won't stay long term and has no desire to do so, Plays whack a mole with employees, so all the senior staff is gone. I worked here a long time for different masters, this is as bad as it can get. There is no career path here. The company doesn't expect you to want one.
