Pros
A lot of other startups in the bay are running the same formula over and over again to try to get a slice of the industry's revenue - they often have the same process or technology backend, hence not a lot of learning for employees for growth. While it works for an average salaryman and make them feel that they "are" in part of the startup culture, it is just another job in a normal tech company. Banjo, is not that kind of company. It's not "normal". It's a true Silicon Valley startup, if not more. Working here, you will feel that the company is constantly improving on all aspect of the functions on multiple dimensions - we are talking about advancements that you will see teams be able to execute in days, but not in months or years as some other startups or enterprises do. As an innovator - you will find a home here to spread your ideas with teams and be able to execute and deliver together. As a current, past, or future entrepreneur - you will learn from a company that compress months, or years of experience that you would otherwise gotten working somewhere else by just working here in Banjo for weeks. As a dreamer - you will find that everything can be possible if you have the mind, people, and teamwork behind executing it together.
Cons
Working in a startup is not for everyone. Especially a startup where you will feel that your hearts and souls will be so align with the mission of the company - a purpose (and a responsibility) that you will do good for the world. While some thinks that "I'm ready!" after years working in an enterprise or from slower paced companies; you will be amazed how fast things can move in the internet age of things - where everything is instant, realtime, connected, ie: it's a living and breathing business. Banjo is in the middle of all things connected - imagine that. I would recommend this job for everyone who has been in lean startup scenes before, or if you have been working on preparation for / and mentally ready to contribute with the internet of things speed!
