Pros

Remote-first, WFH for most jobs. Base pay is just mediocre rather than outright bad; you could do worse elsewhere. Benefits are standard-ish, somewhat good. Coworkers are mostly nice and professional.

Cons

Dysfunctional Leadership: Management is by far the worst I have seen at any organization, pushing a "tryhard" culture without understanding business processes. Critical issues are ignored for months, even years. There's no clear strategic direction. Frequent layoffs and high turnover are rampant, leading to severe brain drain. The culture is toxic and passive-aggressive due to obvious failures. Painful bureaucracy, micromanagement over irrelevant details, and absent management on critical matters are the norm. Burnout is widespread, with management only considering increased headcount after teams are visibly drowning. Ineffective Processes & Tools. Projects are chaotic, and real upfront planning is lacking. Internal tools are abysmal, far worse than readily available alternatives, and customers frequently find symplr to be a difficult vendor. Pay is mediocre and erodes annually with relatively low "merit" raises contingent on hitting absurd, mostly top-down goals set halfway through the year. In at least one year, increases were canceled across the company. The much-hyped "platform" vision was pathetically underdelivered. Unqualified Personnel: Many individuals occupy roles for which they are neither qualified nor adequately trained, especially the foreign contractors hastily brought in to take over from the US layoffs.

Pros

I've really enjoyed working here because of the supportive culture and the flexibility of working from home. The team is collaborative, management is approachable, and I've had plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and take on different responsibilities within my role. If you enjoy continuous learning and a positive work environment, it's a great place to work.

Cons

The biggest downside is the limited opportunities for career advancement. It can be difficult to move up or receive title changes, even after taking on additional responsibilities. Compensation also tends to be below market compared to other companies offering similar roles and responsibilities, which can make it challenging to stay long-term.
