Pros

flexible schedule decent health insurance co workers (very subjective)

Cons

poor leadership awful culture 7 day work week reluctant to pay for hours worked (including OT after it was worked) upper management has terrible communication and is very disorganized terrible pay for the amount of work TERRIBLE work/life balance. My final pay was not correct, there was a company merger and they purposefully messed up our taxes, not taking out IN state tax, which they never informed us of, and we found out after receiving an incorrect W2, i still have not received a W2. We completed an off hours project at an agreed rate for the work, however they listed the income as a bonus, which was taxed differently. I could go on and on about how you'll make more money at walmart for less work, or how they told an employee he needed to work more than 80- hours in a work week to receive OT once, but managing here was awful. Working here and having the expriance on your resume WILL NOT get you a job in IT, and there is not future unless you open your own store, which will be really difficult as they pay you as little as possible.

Pros

- Fast Paced, plenty to keep even the busiest hands occupied. - Room to learn an industry that will survive for as long as technology exists. - Some experience can translate well in other fields. - Good opportunity to earn commission through sales if requirements are met.

Cons

- If you are ONLY interested in a tech/tech repair focused position, this is not the job for you. Unless you have a decade of experience you will be expected to make sales, bargain for reviews, and go above and beyond at all times to increase store sales. - MASSIVE barriers to earn commissions. - No PTO - No sick days - No upward movement except for extrordinary circumstances. - Falls short of other employers in terms of compensation. - No raises whatsoever once you finish training. - Shady grey-area business practices, straddling the line of breach of contract with partnerships at some points. - You will be asked to lie, mislead, cheat, and manipulate not only customers, but the very partners that keep your stores in business. The partners of uBreakiFix (mainly Asurion) have to constantly update the terms and rules of their partnerships because you are expected to take complete advantage of every single customer that walks in your doors. If you have any sort of moral compass whatsoever, look somewhere else. The best way to survive at uBreakiFix is to KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN. They don't require experience, but expect to be thrown to the wolves as soon as your 90-days are up. Hit the ground running, keep your head down, and make sure your hands are clean at the end of the day.
