Pros

-Amazing work place depending on your franchise owner and store manager. -Easily one of the most career enabling jobs to get without any real prior experience. -Great contacts out of fellow employees and some customers.

Cons

-Nobody is really that happy to see you considering they're there because they broke something and you're telling them how much they're dumb mistake will cost. -Lots of customer conflict about pricing, mostly because no one has any idea how much their phone is actually worth. -Hope you don't like sunlight, most the employee areas are unlit besides florescent lights and no windows and the general work day is from 10am to 7pm. -No real place to go unless you want to own your own store. Even the manager's usually only make enough to afford an apartment with other people. -Asurion owns the company now and corporate partners like Apple, Google, and Samsung dominate what you do more than your own franchise owner does typically. Be ready to change procedure every couple weeks as corporate forces new things down your store's throat.

Pros

- Fast Paced, plenty to keep even the busiest hands occupied. - Room to learn an industry that will survive for as long as technology exists. - Some experience can translate well in other fields. - Good opportunity to earn commission through sales if requirements are met.

Cons

- If you are ONLY interested in a tech/tech repair focused position, this is not the job for you. Unless you have a decade of experience you will be expected to make sales, bargain for reviews, and go above and beyond at all times to increase store sales. - MASSIVE barriers to earn commissions. - No PTO - No sick days - No upward movement except for extrordinary circumstances. - Falls short of other employers in terms of compensation. - No raises whatsoever once you finish training. - Shady grey-area business practices, straddling the line of breach of contract with partnerships at some points. - You will be asked to lie, mislead, cheat, and manipulate not only customers, but the very partners that keep your stores in business. The partners of uBreakiFix (mainly Asurion) have to constantly update the terms and rules of their partnerships because you are expected to take complete advantage of every single customer that walks in your doors. If you have any sort of moral compass whatsoever, look somewhere else. The best way to survive at uBreakiFix is to KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN. They don't require experience, but expect to be thrown to the wolves as soon as your 90-days are up. Hit the ground running, keep your head down, and make sure your hands are clean at the end of the day.
